To qualify for the home support worker program, prospective students must meet the following criteria:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent OR

  • Mature student status—be at least 18 years of age and pass a superintendent-approved qualifying test (Wonderlic SLE with a minimum score of 11).

  • International Students: Proof of English proficiency is required (IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL IBT 80 / Duolingo 95).

  • Health & Safety: Applicants may need a vulnerable sector screening to work with seniors and children in long term care or community settings.
