Admission Requirements
To qualify for the psw bridging program and advance toward your practical nursing diploma program, prospective nursing students must meet the following admission requirements:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
PSW Certification: Proof of successful completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program.
Academic Achievement: A minimum grade average in previous theory courses may be required.
Vulnerable Sector Screen: A valid vulnerable sector check (or vulnerable sector screen) is mandatory for clinical placement.
Health Status: Must not have a mental or physical disorder that would jeopardize the safety of the health care team or clients, as per the nursing act.
